Climate change; environmental vulnerabilities; macro-political dynamics; Indigenous studies; and pluriculturalism
I am a Brazilian lawyer and environmental policy consultant passionate about protecting rivers, forests, and the communities that depend on them. Over the past few years, I have worked with NGOs, public institutions, and international organizations on projects that connect law, conservation, and human rights, especially in the Amazon and Pantanal regions. My experience includes developing legal strategies to safeguard Indigenous territories, advocating for the recognition of the Rights of Nature, and building collaborative solutions to address environmental vulnerabilities. I believe that bridging law with other fields—such as political ecology, Indigenous studies, and environmental peacebuilding—is essential for creating lasting change. Now, as an M.A. student in Latin American Studies, I am excited to deepen this interdisciplinary approach and contribute to innovative policies for environmental protection across the region.
