I have always been concerned about the environment and curious about how natural systems function, while observing pollution and its impacts across different contexts. This interest led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences. I have had the opportunity to work with non-profit organizations and to collaborate with international cooperation agencies such as Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) and CAFOD, as well as with indigenous and rural communities.
My work involved water pollution prevention, environmental degradation diagnostics, and the implementation of context-appropriate tools, including Community Water Monitoring, engaging local authorities and stakeholders in water management in rural and peri-urban areas. These experiences strengthened my commitment to addressing the socio-economic complexities associated with natural resource loss and the impacts of climate change. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies, drawn by its interdisciplinary approach that integrates environmental, social, and economic factors, providing a more holistic perspective.
