Experience

Graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, I minored in Educational Technology and Latin American Studies. Throughout my time as an undergraduate, I published a paper in moral philosophy, called "Moral Guilt, Dirty Hands Dilemma, and the Dark Ghetto". In my Latin American courses, I researched Latin American immigration through studies that have tracked multiple generations of migrants in the United States. My passion for this field stemmed furthered as I explored Latin American fiction, where I applied the concepts I have learned by writing my own short stories and novels.

In my moral philosophy research, I was interested in analyzing how someone's racial and economic backgrounds corresponded to their moral behavior. In studying Latin American literature, I am interested in researching how social, historical, and cultural circumstances influence the way that Latin American authors write their stories. Reviewing topics such as violence, displacement, and migration, I aim to understand the psychological impact of trauma on Latin American populations. My research will focus on Latin American literature as a form of resilience in local and global contexts.
