Focus session with UF-LAS alumni Ms. Meghan Reynolds and Mr. Jacob Schultz

About Ms. Reynolds and Mr. Schultz:

Meghan Reynolds has over 15 years of strategic marketing experience within a range of companies, from start-ups (Oura, Leafly, RealSelf) to large brands (Adidas and Amazon). At Amazon, she held a variety of roles: leading brand social for the new product launch of Echo and Alexa, leading Prime Video’s paid media expansion into Mexico, Brazil, Canada and Australia and managing Amazon Music’s global integrated marketing plans. Currently, she is managing growth/acquisition for Oura, a fitness/sleep tracker and is instrumental in their international expansion. 

Jacob Schultz is a career member of the United States Foreign Service.  He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Office of Transportation Policy at the Department of State.  Previously, Jacob has been posted twice to Bangkok, Thailand as an economic officer.  Other overseas assignments include Quito, Ecuador as an economic officer and the acting director of the international narcotics and law enforcement section and Hermosillo, Mexico as a consular officer.  Previous Washington assignments include serving as an economic officer, deputy director, and strategic engagement coordinator in the Office of Mexican Affairs and as a staff assistant in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs in Washington, DC. Jacob has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies.  He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai.
