Tuesday, July 20, 2021 | 5:00 - 7:00 pm ET

Leading experts on Cuba will discuss the meanings of the recent protests in Cuba and the responses of the state. We will explore the reasons why so many citizens took to the streets, the novelties and continuities with previous protests, and state repression. Our panelists will analyze the response of academic communities in the US and Latin America and offer ideas on how to support human and democratic rights in Cuba.
