Join us for a lecture with Carlos Meléndez (Universidad Diego Portales, Chile) on the rise of Pedro Castillo, “the first poor president of Peru,” who was narrowly elected in a runoff vote in the summer of 2021. Dr. Meléndez is a political scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the Centro de Estudios de Conflicto y Cohesión Social (COES). His publications include “El Mal Menor: Vínculos políticos en el Perú posterior al colapso del sistema de partidos” (2019) and “El Informe Chinochet: Historia Secreta de Alberto Fujimori en Chile” (Aguilar, 2018).

Parking for guests without a UF parking decal: during the day, visitors to the Judaica Suite may use pay facilities to park at UF’s Reitz Union Parking Garage on the corner of Museum Road and Reitz Union Drive or off-campus at the Stadium Club, behind 1802 W. University Ave. Parking restrictions are lifted after 5:00 pm.
