August 21, 2025

Glenn Galloway, director of UF's Master of Sustainable Development Practice Program, is editor of a new book released by the MDP Global Association. Transforming Education for Sustainable Development: Global Perspectives from Classroom to Practice gathers over 12 years of insight and critical reflection on global development education from 35 universities worldwide.

From the MDP Global Association:

Organized around core dimensions of the MDP program, the book explores how education for sustainable development (ESD) has evolved across diverse cultural, institutional, and regional contexts. With a strong emphasis on applied learning and interdisciplinary training, it provides many examples of how MDP programs equip future development practitioners to engage effectively with complex sustainability challenges. The book highlights principles and best practices, lessons learned, and the unique challenges of delivering ESD in a variety of settings, from classrooms to real-world development environments.

Congratulations, Dr. Galloway!
