Experience

Ana Maria Ramirez Gomez is a passionate communicator and journalist with a strong interest in up the skills of black communities through communication and technology. With over five years of experience, she has worked in various domains such as digital communication, newspapers, magazines, and programmatic advertising. Additionally, she has actively participated in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to supporting women and children in vulnerable situations.

Furthermore, Ana’s academic journey has taken her to different universities, including Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Besides,  she was part of the first cohort of the program + Mujer + Ciencia + Equidad, It was an initiative of the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation for young women who were interested in STEAM areas. She is the first Colombian woman selected for the prestigious Community Engagement Exchange Program, sponsored by the Department of State. This program brings together young leaders from 80 different countries, providing them with a platform to exchange ideas and drive positive change in their respective communities.

Ana's life is determined by the academy and the desire she has to teach other black youth the knowledge she has gained through scholarships and unique opportunities.
