Experience

I was born and raised in the city of Quito, Ecuador. I identify myself as a black woman and decolonial feminist; identities that I consider significant to understand my place in western society. I completed my undergraduate studies in Organizational Communication and Public Relations at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

Additionally, I have developed analyses in which I try to explain what is the role and responsibility of communication processes and strategies in all these cultural issues and how urgent they are to evolve communication in Ecuador. I also work as a speaker on uncomfortable issues that the academy has developed quite well, but it is still not enough to generate conversations and responsible education in this regard; such issues revolve around the identities that we have as subjects of law, and from the same we are relegated to limiting spaces in society.

I think that communication is the key to better understand ourselves as human beings, to recognize ourselves as people and to preserve our ancestry that defines us as diverse beings.
