Experience

As a Peruvian sociologist I have explored different social phenomena as from the perspectives of academic research, public service, and consultant for NGOs. I have explored issues of human trafficking in Peru, social responsibility programs of companies in Peru and Colombia, and distance education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These different experiences have given me the opportunities to know about social problems in different regions of Peru and have given me more opportunities to understand what needs to be socially transformed in order to build a more just and egalitarian Peruvian society. In that sense, I believe that my time in the MALAS program should transcend academic spaces and I should assume an activist role within my environment.
