Background

Risner develops and manages initiatives that integrate the study of foreign language and area studies across the curriculum. She has taught language at a variety of  K–16 levels, as well as in corporate environments. Her research interests are in the role of culture in international business and the integration of emerging technologies to develop intercultural competence and foreign language skills for the workplace. She holds degrees in Marketing (B.B.A.), Latin American Studies (M.A), Spanish (M.A.), and Educational Technology(Ed.D.)
