Topic: Dr. Carmelo Mesa-Lago will be discussing his new book, which is the first comprehensive study on Raúl Castro's economic policies during six years in power. Fully documented with statistics, economic and social literature published in Cuba and abroad, it describes and analyzes all of Castro's reforms in 2007-2012 and evaluates their effects on Cuba's economy and social welfare.
