A Florida native and UF graduate, Patrick became interested in Latin American Studies while working on the development of Latin American demonstration garden at the UF student gardens. Patrick has a degree in Horticultural Science with a focus in Organic and Sustainable Crop Production. He spent his time at UF as the garden intern of the UF Field and Fork student farm and the vice president and garden manager of the Organic and Sustainable Agriculture club, and since graduating has traveled to France and Spain to work on farms and spent 9 months as a sourdough baker at Gainesville's Vine Sourdough Bakery.
