Teacher Summer Institute 2013: "Ecosystems of Belize"

The Rainforest is YOUR classroom! Shake up your professional development experience with the ultimate HANDS-ON learning experience in the rainforests of BELIZE! The Outreach Program is partnering with the Belize Foundation for Research and Environmental Education (BFREE) to hold the 2013 Teacher Summer Institute in the rainforest of Belize! The Institute is designed for and open to educators of all disciplines and grade levels, as well as pre-service teachers.
June 16-23, 2013
Cost: $1400*
*Includes workshops, food, and lodging.
*Does not include international airfare.
Scholarship stipends in the amount of $600 are available.
Application Deadline:
Electronic version due by April 30th. Deposit check should be postmarked by April 30, 2013
Deposit: $250 required at time of application (Check made payable to BFREE)
Final Payment Due: May 16, 2013

A typical day includes:
7:30 Breakfast Morning activity in the rainforest or community 12:30 Lunch Afternoon work on lesson plans 6:00 Dinner Evening activity in the rainforest
