The conference is a collaborative effort to significantly increase opportunities for global collaboration in education. Sessions will be broadcast live and available in recorded form afterwards. Organized in 1965, the Southern Conference on Language Teaching is one of five regional affiliates of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. The fourteen affiliates in the SCOLT region are as follows: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The annual conference is held in the Spring.

ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 9,000 foreign language educators and administrators from elementary through graduate education, as well as government and industry. The Annual Convention and World Languages Expo brings together more than 5,000 teachers, administrators, method instructors, and students of foreign languages at all levels from across the world. International Association of Language Learning Technology (IALLT)

Established in 1965, IALLT is a professional organization whose members provide leadership in the development, integration, evaluation and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, literature, and culture. Every two years IALLT hosts an international conference where several hundred members meet to share experiences and to learn more about administering language learning technology programs.
