The UF Center for Latin American Studies is one of the top-ranked and oldest centers in the world, renowned for its richness and breadth of intellectual life sustained through dialogue among diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and identities. 

Center faculty lead interdisciplinary research and graduate training programs on 12 specializations.


MALAS Program

Consisting of 30 credit hours, the MALAS program allows students to design an individualized, interdisciplinary plan of study that draws on the social and natural sciences, the humanities, and the professional schools. 

The program connects students with the innovative research and teaching of more than 160 affiliate and Center-based faculty members across the University of Florida.
