Aymara equational sentences are marked with a -xa on one half and a -wa on the other half.
There are many types of Aymara questions. In this exercise set you are introduced to the Aymara information question which is marked with the suffix -sa. The information that is given in answer to the question is marked with the -wa. Notice that in each question you have a first part -xa and a second part marked -sa. In this exercise set -sa is on the form asking where the person marked with -xa is from. In the answer the person again takes -xa, and the place takes -wa.
You introduced to three persons: 1, 2, 3 (See Gramática, VIII 1.21; VII 3.11.1). In these sentences the -xa sentence suffix occurs with the subject. In the verbalized noun you have -kiri- marking the place of origin. -k- verbalizes the preceding noun, which consists of a vocabulary item plus -na ?in?, although here it would have to translate ?from?, if at all. The -k- obliges the omission of the preceding vowel; -iri- then renominalizes the form, and thus the vowel remains when adding the person suffixes (which oblige a vowel drop in full verbs). See Gramática, IX; VIII 2.12.1.
