The Hippodrome Theatre is proud to partner with the University of Florida School of Music to bring the Hippodrome Jazz Series to the Hipp Lower Level starting Monday, September 10, 2018. Doors are at 7:00 p.m. and the music is from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
 
The Hippodrome Jazz series presents a range of jazz musicians who will play select Mondays and Thursdays through the months of September, October and November 2018. The full schedule of performers and links to advance tickets are on the Hippodrome's website. 

“We are so excited about this collaboration to showcase some of Gainesville’s rising jazz stars and local jazz legends,” Scott Wilson, UF associate professor of jazz, said. “The Hippodrome jazz series will feature Brazilian jazz, Cuban jazz, Rhythm and Blues, New Orleans jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Hard Bop and Bebop.“
 
As a centerpiece of culture in downtown Gainesville, the Hippodrome Theatre is proud to host such talented musicians at the Lower Level and hope that when people think jazz, they come to the Hipp.

On September 13, Dr. Welson Tremura and Jacare Instrumental will perform as part of the jazz series.
