Markama presents a riveting concert featuring music of the Southern Cone!

Markama has a forty years’ trajectory and has shared the stage with acclaimed international artists including Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, and Tracy Chapman during the 1988 Amnesty International concert event. With fourteen albums released, Markama’s members have been praised for their artistry where they received the title of “distinguished citizens” in Argentina and abroad. The group has also previously performed in Honduras, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Sweden, and the United States. Their repertoires, from traditional to folk music, exhibits a great variety of both traditional and contemporary musical instruments including the quena, anata, sikus charango, bombo legüero, cajón peruano, wankara, guitar, and electric bass.
