HLA presents the first event in the Latinx Luncheon Series co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies!

Y tú ... ¿Que Piensas? (And you, what do you think?) is a luncheon inviting students to participate in a casual discussion with professors and build connections with Latinx scholars in their field.

Join the conversation over a meal on Thursday, February 16 at noon with Dr. Nicholas Vargas, Professor of Sociology and Latin America Studies at UF. The luncheon will take place in the Multicultural & Diversity Affairs Suite, Room 2201.

Latinx is an ethnicity, what does that mean in regards to race? What does race mean to the Latinx community? Dr. Vargas will be answering these questions as he discusses Latinx racial classification.
