• 6 credits of courses approved for MA in Latin American Studies. Normally this means graduate level (5000–6000) courses with at least 25% Latin American content.*
Summer between Year 4 and 5
• 3 credits of LAS 6905 (Individual Study or Internship)
• Conduct research for thesis

• 9 credits of courses approved for MA in Latin American Studies
Spring Semester, 5th Year
• 9 credits of courses approved for MA in Latin American Studies
(including 3 credits of LAS 6971, MA Thesis Research)
