Florida-Brazil Linkage Institute - Application
New Applicants
New applicants to the Out-of-State Tuition Exemption Program must submit the following materials by July 1:
- The Florida/Brazil Institute Tuition Exemption Application Form .

The Notarized Statement certifying that you will return to Brazil for a period equal to the exemption period.

One copy of your most recent official academic transcript. (The transcript may be sent separately from the other application materials.)

A one-page typed Statement of Purpose that summarizes your educational and professional goals and explains how your specific area of interest contributes to the linkage between Florida and Brazil.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably from professors familiar with your academic work, accompanied by the Release Form

One photocopy each of the following documents: passport photo page (proof of Brazilian citizenship), your I-20 or DS-2019 form, and your student visa.
Renewal Applicants
Renewal applicants to the Out-of-State Tuition Exemption Program must submit the following materials by July 1:
- The Florida/Brazil Institute Tuition Exemption Application Form.

One copy of your most recent official academic transcript.

One photocopy each of the following documents: passport photo page (proof of Brazilian citizenship), your I-20 or DS-2019 form, and your student visa.

Original or ptotocopy of your receipt for fees paid the previous semester.
Recipients
If you are an Out-of-State Tuition Exemption recipient, please make sure to comply with the following guidelines:
- After paying your fees each semester, send the receipt to the Florida/Brazil Institute so we can verify you are being charged the appropriate tuition rate.

At the end of each semester, send an official transcript to the Florida/Brazil Institute, even if you are not planning to reapply for the following academic year.

Report any changes of academic status or address to the Institute.

Before completing or terminating your studies in Florida, notify the Institute in writing of your plans to return to Brazil.
