CONFERENCE INFORMATION
The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida hosted the 59th Annual Meeting of SECOLAS on the UF campus in Gainesville, FL, Thursday, March 29 to Saturday, March 31, 2012. The meeting served as the Center’s 61st Annual Conference. Featured speakers and a number of panels addressed the conference theme, “The Struggle for Democracy in Latin America, ” and other aspects of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latina/os in the US. Papers were presented by faculty members, independent scholars and graduate students.
