Applications for study abroad programs are managed by the UF International Center (UFIC). Below, you will find instructions for completing your electronic application.
Online Application Instructions:

Go to http://www.abroad.ufic.ufl.edu/. Choose your program by clicking on Programs at the top of the page. You can search for your program by name, location or other variables. Be sure to review the program information to make sure it is your correct program!
- Once you have selected the correct program, click Apply Now. Log in using your Gatorlink ID and password. At this time, you will be asked to supply your emergency contact information. Please make sure you complete the emergency contact information. A failure to do so will stop you from going abroad.
- The following screen will have your program name on the left, highlighted in blue. Click on the program name to access your application.
- Your application page is divided into several categories on the right side of the screen. In the Material Submissions section you can the Academic Advising Form (list of courses you will take abroad-- signed and approved by UF faculty or advisor). Please read and follow the directions provided. The International Center will check off these materials for you after you submit these to their office as instructed online.
- Complete all Signature Documents: Read thoroughly and electronically sign each document. These include UF policies and procedures, terms and conditions, health insurance information, etc.
- Complete all Application Questionnaires: Please note the importance of the Financial Aid questionnaire, as you must indicate here the type of financial aid you receive, if any.
- Payment of Service Charge: You are required to pay a $250 service charge for UF programs or a $150 service charge for Non-UF study abroad programs. For an independent study, you will pay $50 + the cost of MEDEX Emergency Evacuation Insurance, which is $10/month. These funds must be submitted to UFIC no later than 7 calendar days after applying online. Payment can be made by personal check, money order, or cash (in person, with exact change only). Make checks payable to: University of Florida. Include your UFID, program name and term, and current phone and address on your check.
Important Notes
After you click on "APPLY NOW", you will have 7 calendar days to submit the appropriate service charge (see above). If you have not paid by this deadline, your application will be withdrawn. You will need to have all holds removed from your ISIS account before UFIC can accept your application to study abroad.
