Friends of the Center
Friends of the Center
The Friends of the Center was formed in March 2005 as an association of retired faculty and professional Latin Americanists interested in maintaining close ties with the UF Center for Latin American Studies.
Given the expertise of so many of its members, the Friends of the Center provide an external sounding board to the Center Director regarding programming on Latin America, outreach to the community, and a broad range of other issues. The Friends assist in disseminating information on the Center’s accomplishments nationally and internationally and in attracting resources to support its activities.
Through its listserve and mailing list, the Friends of the Center also serves as a means of keeping its members informed of Center events. To join, please send an e-mail message to the Center Director, Carmen Diana Deere.
