Undergraduate Student Information

All of the Center’s study abroad programs are open to undergraduate students with the exception of the International Business Study Tour and the Urban Planning Program.  Credits obtained on study abroad programs offered by other universities may be transferred to the University of Florida, with prior written approval from the UF International Center and the student's major department. Transfer credits may apply toward core or elective requirements of the Minor and Certificate in Latin American Studies, with prior approval and/or follow-up evaluation by the Latin American Studies Undergraduate Advisor

UF undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who are interested in studying Portuguese, Haitian Creole or another less commonly taught Latin American language (i.e. Maya, Quechua etc.) at the intermediate level during the summer, should consider applying for the Foreign Language and Area Studies Summer Fellowships offered by the Center.

Graduate Student Information

 

The International Business Study Tour, the International Business Management Semester in Brazil, the UCR Exchange, the PUCP Exchange, the Business in Brazil Summer Program, the Urban Planning Program in Brazil, and the Haitian Summer Institute offer graduate credit.  UF graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who are interested in studying Portuguese, Haitian Creole or another less commonly taught Latin American language (i.e. Maya, Quechua etc.) during the summer, should consider applying for the Foreign Language and Area Studies Summer Fellowships offered by the Center.
